Hi Whanau, With the term just around the corner, have you thought of any new activities to teach WSFL skills? This would be an excellent opportunity to share these ideas with the group. You may need help linking a WSFL skill to the open water environment; look no further. Ask our group, and let's work together to help one another.

Water Skills for Life is not a ‘learn to swim’ programme. It is structured ’learn to survive’ content that can easily be incorporated into any existing learn to swim or water-based programme targeting primary and intermediate-aged tamariki so that these kids have a greater chance to know what to do when something goes wrong in the real world. Swim School's don’t have to give up anything to be a part of Water Skills for Life. Let's spread the word to our fellow Swim School operators to please incorporate the WSFL content into their existing programmes and initiatives so that they better prepare tamariki to look after themselves when something unexpected happens in the real world.

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. WOW, hasn't the time flown with Christmas just around the corner? I hope everyone has a well-deserved break. If you feel in a creative mood, maybe it's time to make some weed mats. Check out the clip below:

Hi fellow members. Can you help WSFL spread this simple message please Research shows that teaching children to swim doesn’t give them the the specific knowledge and experience needed when things go wrong in the real world. But water survival can easily be included as part of an existing ‘learn to swim programme’. We are asking instructors and parents to ensure that water survival skills are prioritised so that our tamariki are better  prepared to survive when things go wrong. Any questions, just reach out to us

Ngati Toa school swimming with some aspects of the Dash Water Safety program. Dash Swim School is focused on teaching all ages to learn to swim to survive, our extensive program changes every 2 terms to keep up with what is relevant at the time.
